They can be picked up the morning of the parade at parade registration at University Ave/Woodland Blvd by the Cummings Gym.

Those that pre-ordered will find them at their parade spot or can pick theirs up at the above location!

Official Parade Shirts Will also be available for sale, and pickup of pre-orders at the tent.

***Costume category winners and all other entrants will be escorted to designated parade line up. After the parade, the owner and dog need to report to the stage on Georgia Ave to be recognized and receive awards.

***You must be present to receive awards. 


Fees day of :

Per dog $25.00 

Per group (up to 4 dogs)  $35.00


Competition will take place at the corner of University and Woodland Blvd next to the Cummings Gym. 

  • Reminder this year’s theme is Dogs Will Rock You!

  • On site registration will open at 8:00 am for day of people and pre-registered to check in.

  • You MUST Check in by 9:15am and judging will end at 10 am

  • 10:15 winners will be announced and sashes given

  • 10:30 we will get all costumed dogs to their place in the parade line up so they are ready to start the parade at 11am.

  • Winners will be taken from the end of the parade to the Stage at Café Davinci on Georgia Ave so they will be ready to be announced onstage at about 12:15 pm

Parade Update

Parade Line Information:

We are so excited to see you along the parade route on Saturday, February 22, 2020!

  • Beads will still be available for purchase day of (quantities are limited)-they will be at the registration tent.

  • Judging for first place in the following categories: Best Float, Best Theme Decorated Entry, and Best Business/ Group  Walking Entry. Winners will be texted during the parade.

  • Attached is a map of the lineup and your assignment along the route. PLEASE note the line up is in ABC order your position number is to the right of your name it says...Spot __#__ next to it.  For example, Advanced Urology is listed first but they are Number 40A in the lineup.

  • Even Numbers will be on the West Side of the street( same side of the street as Stetson University President's house and Cummings Gym) and odd numbers will be on the East side of the street ( ElizabethHall)

Winners will be announced  @ 12:45 pm on the stage after the parade on Georgia Ave at Café Davinci


After the parade join us on Georgia Avenue for a Mardi Gras festival that will run from 10am until 3:00 pm. Activities for people and dogs will include entertainment, dog demonstrations, vendors, entertainment, and music. Vendors will be on hand to show off their products and services. The entire event is open to the public and admission is free!

Festival Vendor Update:

Greetings Vendors!

We are just a week away from the 23rd annual Mardi Gras Dog Parade & Festival! As a reminder, the festival location this year has moved to Georgia Avenue. For purposes of an address to enter into GPS for navigation, please use Café DaVinci: 112 W. Georgia Avenue, DeLand.


7am to 8am.   Vendor Setup

8:30am  Cars Must Be Off The Street

10:00am. Festival Starts

11:00am. Mardi Gras Dog Parade Begins

12:00pm. Band Starts at Café DaVinci

12:45pm. Introduction of Royalty Awards Presentation

3:00pm. Band Concludes at Café DaVinci

3:00pm. Teardown Begins Event Concludes

4:00pm. Street Reopens



Please enter from South Florida Avenue – upon entry, a volunteer will guide you to your designated space.



The Krewe of Amalee will have an information table setup near the entrance of Café DaVinci should you have any needs during the festival.



The 2020 theme is ‘Dogs Will Rock You’. Mardi Gras decorations (purple, green & gold) along with the Rock theme are encouraged for your booth area.



There is no public access to electric. Due to fire code and setbacks, generators are not permitted within the event footprint.

Please ensure all trash is disposed of properly and leave the space cleaner than you found it. PLEASE DO NOT BREAK DOWN PRIOR TO 3PM.
